This video is very overdue… life has been pulling us in every direction lately, but honestly, this one was worth the wait.
This trip was for the books.
Towards the end of summer we packed up the kids, flew from San Diego to Chicago, rented an @cruiseamericaRV… all so we could road-trip with my grandma from Illinois to Michigan and spend 10 days surrounded by family laughing, catching up, and celebrating her 90th birthday together.
There was chaos (airports with toddlers, naturally), plenty of snacks, and more family piled into one RV than I can count… but it was worth every second.
Watching four generations under one roof laughing, telling old stories, celebrating 90 years of an incredible woman felt like the good stuff. The moments you plan a whole trip around… and then spend weeks (or in this case months) reliving.
Happy 90th birthday, Grandma. Thanks for giving us a reason to pause life, pile in, and make memories we’ll talk about forever.

Another year, another last minute chaos to pull it together. We tell ourselves every year that we will start the costume design weeks before but I think the stress of it all makes us pull it together that much better (or at least that’s what we tell ourselves).
Hocus Pocus was on our minds for awhile but we delayed the planning and the night before we thought there was no way to pull this off… but honestly you can pull anything off visiting thrift stores! The best part of DIY Halloween costumes is taking the inspo and creating your own version of that through the resources available to you!
Next year the goal is to be finished at least one day before! 🤞🏼

Our rig might be old, creak a little, have no A/C in the truck, smell like a mix of campfire and kids snacks, and it definitely lets us know when the hills get steep…. But it has carried us through some of the best memories of our lives.
From mountain ranges to coastlines, forests to deserts...this old rig has been there through it all.
Adventure doesn’t care what year or how fancy your rig is, it’s just waiting for you to go. 🚙🏔️
